Pioneer Electronics has just announced their next generation DVJ turntable, the DVJ-1000. Based on the industry standard CDJ-1000, it combines top of the line sound manipulation with the capabilities of the DVJ-X1, the world’s first DVD turntable.
The new device sports familiar features such as the large jog dial, alongside loop, hot cue and reverse functions. There is a new one-track seamless loop function, to easily loop entire tracks, and the footprint of the unit has been drastically reduced. Compared to its older and bigger brother, the DVJ 1000 is 30% smaller, which allows it to fit in the same casing as CDJ 1000 CD players. A clever move, as the market for DVD players is on the rise.
