The Chemical Brothers have announced the release of a new album, We Are The Night, for late June / early July 2007. Just before this summer release, they will also play a single gig at London’s Roundhouse (which has already sold out) as well headlining this year’s Creamfields, Rockness and Bestival festivals (which haven’t).
We Are The Night will be the sixth studio album from the duo, whose previous album, Push The Button, saw them return to form with a selection of break-beat-laden tracks that went back to the heart of their sound. As a band shaped by the ‘Big Beat’ era of the mid 90s, as well as being considered one of the few electronic acts that can deliver on the international live stage, the Chems return is definitely something to be celebrated in dance music.
Also announced were gig dates for the forthcoming year, you can find these out over at 365MAG!
