The latest EDM single to be released on Renaissance hails from the collective electronic masterminds in Solaris Heights who manage to deliver “Vice” – a scorching new electro-house track – just in time for the summer DJ’s to come out of hiding and prey upon its refreshingly unique style. Watery male vocals wash over a foreground of a light, warm and bouncy electronic jamboree. The off-kilter beat would indicate a rapturous pre-dawn club atmosphere while the soothingly monotonous vocal pitch coasts alongside, creating the perfect dance track for those who want to lose themselves in the many frenzied moments and steamy vices that make up a night out on the town.

Jerome Sydenham takes the reigns for the remix of “Vice”, transforming it into a deep house gem that sacrifices the more pronounced vocal touch of the original version in favor of an increasingly hypnotic but certainly no less danceable version of the track. Courtesy of the artists and label, dubs of both versions are also included for a satisfyingly warm four track release. Riding the light waves of the increasingly hot summer sun, Solaris Heights takes the climate of pre-dawn hysteria to new levels with their latest; I would expect this to appear on any number of hot new mixes in the near future, and it will certainly be a delight to hear it again mixed with tracks of a similarly warm and radiant timbre.
