Beck’s Fusion Events – Regional Lineups

The Whip, Errors and Jape added to line-up of unique live art and music events across the UK

Beck’s and the ICA today announce three more up-and-coming music acts for Beck’s Fusions – a unique series of events uniting leading musicians and artists across the UK in September. Beck’s Fusions will join leading names in music and art to create an exciting new performance on 9th September in London’s famous square, where thousands will enjoy the sound of Chemical Brothers with projection artists UVA, while Calvin Harris will premiere his 3D set with artists Novak 3D Disco.

Drawing on home-grown talent from three cities, Jape (Dublin), The Whip (Manchester) and Errors (Glasgow) will each open the Beck’s Fusions event in their home city and will support headliner Calvin Harris and artists Novak 3D Disco.

BECK’S FUSIONS DUBLIN, SUNDAY 16th SEPTEMBER – JAPE
In Dublin, Jape will launch Beck’s Fusions to a 1,000 strong Irish crowd. Jape – aka Richie Egan – has been building a fan base in his home country for several years with his lo-fi electronic folk. However, his recent move to tunes fusing decoded folk vocals with heavy beats – such as much-remixed hit `Floating’ – has secured him a cult following on both sides of the Irish Sea.

BECK’S FUSIONS MANCHESTER, SATURDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER – THE WHIP
Urbis, Manchester will play host to electro-pop-disco act The Whip, who’s storming live sets including infectious hits `Trash’ and `Divebomb’ have been hitting dancefloors and summer festivals hard throughout the summer. Signed to of-the-moment French label Kitsune, their recent accolades include single `Frustration’ being named as Track of the Week by Steve Lamacq on 6Music and playlisted by NME Stereo, securing their place as one of the best indie/electro-dance crossovers around at the moment.

BECK’S FUSIONS GLASGOW, SATURDAY 29th SEPTEMBER – ERRORS
Errors will be raising the bar at the Old Fruitmarket at the final Beck’s Fusions event. Since storming on to the scene with their impressive debut EP `How Clean is Your Acid House’, the quirky foursome count Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq as fans, not to mention the generous reviews in The Guardian, Dazed and Confused and Vice for their distinctive glitchy electronica and mucky guitar sound.

BECK’S FUSIONS, 6-9th SEPTEMBER – LONDON
Beck’s Fusions will launch on September 4th at the ICA, then on 6th September in Trafalgar Square a gallery pod premiering fusions of audio visual works from established and up-and-coming artists will open. On Sunday 9th September, the pod will be transformed into a high-tech stage that will host the first ever Beck’s Fusions event, live to 9000 people. The Chemical Brothers and UVA will be creating a spectacular multimedia performance, supported by Calvin Harris, who will be unveiling his unique 3D fusion with artists Novak 3D Disco. Renowned DJ Erol Alkan will also perform a set as part of the one-off live event.

Beck’s Fusions will be touring the gallery pod around the UK and Ireland throughout September, showcasing art and music fusions from both national and regional artists.
