ESG are the Scroggins’ sisters Renee, Valerie and Marie, hailing from the South Bronx. Their place in history is legendary placing them at the heart of Post-Punk, Hip-Hop and New York Dance music. From playing the opening night of Manchester’s Hacienda to the closing night of Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage, ESG are a truly unique phenomenon.

Back in 2000 Soul Jazz Records released `A South Bronx Story’ which brought their classic sound to a new audience and was the launching pad for last years critically acclaimed long player `Keep On Moving’. Now Soul Jazz have un-earthed some lesser known gems and carefully selected tracks for South Bronx Story 2 which gathers together rarities from the group’s 25 year career (and still going strong!).

Featuring alternate mixes of classic tracks such as “You’re No Good”, alongside the legendary New York cut-up mix of “Moody” and “The Beat”(Dance to the beat of Moody), the Paradise Garage anthem “Standing in Line” as well as tracks from the notorious “Sample Credits Don’t Pay Our Bills” release. Super-rare tracks, out of print for over twenty years.
