Argentina has been a major force in electronic dance music for quite a number of years now. Leading the charge has been the unstoppable Hernan Cattaneo but there is a whole host of DJs and producers following in his slipstream, none more so than Manuel Sofia aka MOS. Born the son of a renowned Argentine classical pianist 26 years ago, music is in Manuel’s blood and by the age of 16 he had already started DJing. Now his discography boasts releases and remixes for labels such as Sprout, Swift and Vapour and he can count Sasha, Satoshi Tomiie and Funk D Void amongst his growing legion of fans.

His debut for Audio Therapy is quite simply, outstanding. With 2 originals to choose from in the form of title track ‘Emotional Distortion’, which is aptly steeped in emotional melodies and distorted chords alongside the more techno influenced sound of ‘No Balls Cat’. Finally we thought we would truly spoil you guys with a remix by the very much on form Popof whose recent work on the likes of Skryptom and CR2 have been firm favourites of ours.

All in all we think this is a stunning first appearance on the label from MOS and hope you’ll agree with us that we have one hell of a package here!
