The Get Out Clause Are Stars of CCTV!

thegetoutclauseMancunian band the Get Out Clause have come up with a novel and cheap way of filming a promo for their new single release, Paper.

The jangly four-piece dragged their equipment, including a drum kit, to 80 locations in Manchester’s city centre and played in front of security cameras owned by the local council and private businesses.

Members of the band then wrote to the owners of the CCTV equipment demanding that they be given copies of the performances under the Freedom of Information Act.

Apparently about 20 per cent of the organisations approached entered into the spirit of the thing (and followed the letter of the law) and came up with the goods.
