Hiddenform is a Melbourne, Australia, based label that after two vinyl releases and one mix CD (mixed by Danny Bonnici and Luke Chable) was by last year gaining a great reputation as being a hot new label to watch out for. Then came that unfortunate loss of Amato Distribution (RIP) which effectively put a very big financial & distribution spanner in the works. But you can’t keep a good man down, and label boss Dimitri Frost has bounced back with the first of a series of Hiddenform singles that will appear over the summer of 2008.

For their next release, Hiddenform is proud to bring you two exceptional artists currently at the top of their game. Having remixed the likes of Ricky Stone, Kid Lopez, Hardy Heller and Inkfish, Chris Cargo (Renaissance, Choo Choo, Baroque) is also the man responsible for that Underworld ‘Cowgirl’ bootleg that has been picking up support from all over the place. Chris is no newcomer to the game, having spent 15 years in the saddle and has a list of productions, remixes and compilation appearances under his belt to make any new boy to the scene blush.

Here he teams up with one of Spain’s leading legends of the the underground sound, Paco Buggin (Defected, Jamayka, Stereo). Having begun his career back in the early 90′s, Paco has spun next to great names like Carl, Cox, Richie Hawtin, David Morales, Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez and Funk D’Void. Paco is also responsible for creating the label Boncho, which with only four releases in its catalogue was responsible for unleashing the massive Dr Kucho & Wally Lopez ‘La Factoria’ hit on an unsuspecting world. So he know a fair bit about great club tracks.

Now you know who you’re dealing with, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. ‘To The Beat’ is a driving tech house bounder laced with elements of tribal power. The pace and energy of this track will work any dancefloor into a frenzy if you let it. ‘Messages’ moves things to a slightly more housier vibe, whilst retaining elements of tech, tribal, and electro for good measure. It’s hypnotic qualities make it a very versatile track, and as with ‘To The Beat’ has “quality” stamped all over it.
