With “Tone Program” Josh Gabriel explores his highly individual musical palette and alternative influences. This is another taste of the future as this is the second single release from his forthcoming debut artist album (“Summit” at the end of 2007 being the first). “Tone Program” is a bit undefinable, evoking a response from first listen to heavy rotation. It’s fresh and innovative, yet uniquely familiar, as Gabriel layers the track with vintage 80’s synths from the techy beginning a deep musical climax. Add punchy melody twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat, or more realistically on the dancefloor hands pumping and wide eyed.
The release package includes a reinterpretation of the track by deeply respected Style of Eye. This version is quite unique, starting in a minimal space and soon reaching an unusual breakdown crescendo that makes you wonder what adventure you are about to embark on, before hitting home with intense power.
