Like others the influence of the Hook sound on DJ Nicholas Bennison was the reason he began producing his own music. He long held an ambition to have a release on Hook Recordings so during the mid 90′s he set off and began to learn his song writing and production chops. After a few years and submissions sent to the label Bennison was finally rewarded by being accepted as a Hook artist and would have seen his debut release on his favourite label. But just as it was about to happen we had to go off and fight the aliens to prevent a total invasion of earth. However, with every cloud there is a silver lining, Bennision launched his own label Propulsion Records which has been going strong now for five years and the producer/DJ has been doing the rounds and building his own following.
Although five years later than expected his first release on Hook is an on form three track prime time groover. Crisp, clean beats sit perfectly next to stabby keys, fluid appregios and subtle warm keys, with arrangements taking the clubbers on a musical adventure through peaks and valleys. Doing the remix honours is the prolific and fast building name Dj Reaky. The Slovenians take on Zero Balance is already supported by Paul Van Dyk whilst the title track is currently championed by John Fleming.
