Lost Language Present: Tasadi – The System

It’s been a while since the legendary trance-progressive imprint Lost Language has tackled an artist album, and much less a concept one. ‘The System’ is the result of hundreds of hours of studio work from a man very much on a mission, U.S. based producer, Tasadi.

Taking his inspiration from Gustav Holst’s legendary 19th century symphonic suite, ‘The Planets’, the Texan has christened each of ‘The System’s tracks after the nine planets in our solar system (adding in the Sun and Moon for good measure!). Each piece of music draws inspiration from an individual planet, with its movements conveying the popularly held ideas associated with the influence of them on the human psyche.

Given this concept ‘The System’s musical styles naturally reach far and wide… Quality progressive trance grooves comes quick as tracks like ‘Mars’, ‘Uranus’ & ‘Pluto’ spike the speak cones with their swirling atmospherically-charged sounds and effects. The album also boasts the stunning vocal-led numbers like ‘Neptune’, ‘Luna’ and ‘Mercurius’ – each one lent its own individual, celestial, star-gazing character. For those on the lookout for something more transcendental in perspective, look no further than the beautiful space-based chillout of ‘Saturnus’, ‘Venus’ or the (literally!) sun-dipped ‘Sol’. Last and by no means least, if you feel like something from the all-out euphoric and uplifting quarter, check the powerhouse synthery of ‘Terra’ out post-haste!

The cumulative result of Tasadi’s space odyssey is a coursing, fully-realized multi-stranded album that starts from the Sun and planet-hops right the way out to Pluto. You can hit Tasadi’s MySpace page to get all the up-to-the-minute info on the album and also listen to the first singles to be taken from it.
