16 Bit Lolitas present Glowfield

16 Bit Lolitas are unveiling a series of new musical projects and collaborations through 2009. Following their excellent Ohmna release (see below), is the the mighty Glowfield, whose “Moiemaker”/”The Return” release in March 2009 caused such a commotion.

With two distinctly different vibes to choose from, you can’t go wrong with the second Glowfield release: “Reefteef” is a tech monster and a veritable rollercoaster ride full of twisted effects, and “Calling New York” is a classic melodic beauty that shimmers with style and class in a more progressive vein. For now we’re going to let the music do the talking…

More information about Glowfield will be revealed soon.

1. Reefteef
2. Calling New York

Label: Bits & Pieces
Catalog: B&P009

16 Bit Lolitas (Bits & Pieces) – Chart

1. Pablo Discobar – Problem Child (Lovin l’ectro records)
A new label started by friends of ours.. We decided to go down a slightly different musical avenue on this one. We have never laughed so loud whilst making a track! Once finished we didn’t know exactly where to place it, hence the name. But it does kind of rock on the dancefloor!

2. 16 Bit Lolitas present Glowfield – The Return (Bits&Pieces)
Part of the first Glowfield release on Bits&Pieces, and part of all 16BL sets at the moment, it’s a new tougher sounding collaboration we’ve been working on.

3. 16 Bit Lolitas featuring Ohmna – Take it or leave it (Bits&Pieces)
A track we’ve been successfully playing out all over the world for months, it’s time to share it (officially). Emotive and melodic

4. 16 Bit Lolitas present Glowfield – Reefteef (Bits&Pieces)
This is the latest Glowfield release after the Return. Tough business. Should appeal to a braod sweep of DJs

5. Tomcaft & Lutzenkirchen – Birthday Present (Great Stuff)
From the new 5th anniversary collection, we love the production and the groove, The Tobias Lutzenkirchen’s stuff is generally always pretty rocking.

6. 16 Bit Lolitas present Glowfield – Moeimaker (Bits&Pieces)
A-side to “The Return” and definitely a bit of the old ultra violence! Often spelt Moviemaker by those putting together label copy and not paying attention.

7. What Happens – Forget The Memories (16BL edit)(label unknown)
Nice trancey vibes! And good for the longer sets when some uplift is required as well as some funk.

8. Filth and Splendour vs Greg Brookman – Shadow and shape – (itch)
Pulling and pushing like an angry mob in a Christmas sale, so said the press release and we can’t think of a better description except perhaps to say the mob may also be on roller-skates.

9. D-Formation – Sings _ Portents (original rework 1) -(label unknown)
Beautiful stuff from Turkey and it would seem he is a rising star.

10. Stylko – Air (16bL Edit) (Witty Tunes)
We’ve done our own cheeky edit of this, it happens quite a lot that we like to mess around with stuff so it fits into Aad’s sets better. Our reworking of Sasha’s expander being the obvious example.
