In between launching a highly successful and award nominated iPhone app, smashing it on international dance floors with tracks like Praise You and the monumental Future Funk remix of Back & Forth (Fedde le Grand) and releasing debut artist album House For All (Funkerman), the Dutch dons of house music have actually found enough spare time to get back together with Dany P-Jazz and recruit a host of studio talent to give their 2009 track New Life a stunning reworking for summer 2010.

New Life was the track that defined the massive Flamingo Nights parties in Ibiza last year, shaking dance floors from the White Isle outwards across the world. Now with five new edits plus an extended and a radio mix, it looks like the trio are on course to whip up a future summer anthem. The ‘Dutch sound’ is all over the tracks; stripped down beats leading into thundering breakdowns, the kind of club-killing monsters we’ve come to expect from the Flamingo imprint.

Burrowing inside the bones of the original tune, DJ Madskillz takes us down a deceivingly simplistic route to deliver an intimate dance floor moment that takes full advantage of the snare drums, beeps and blips available. Granite & Phunk showcase their Midas electro-tech touch, bringing out the guitars for a more funked-up, sexy, minimal take. Mark Mendes and the Bingo Players both turn out warping monsters while in the Big Room edit, highlighted vocals and synth waves drive towards an energetic crescendo that explodes back down into that hypnotic New Life riff.
