John Butler Trio release their second single ‘Close To You’

Following an incredibly successful UK tour which saw John Butler Trio sell out some of the most prestigious venues in the country they are releasing their second single, ‘Close To You’ taken from their latest album ‘April Uprising.’

Butler outlines the meaning behind their chosen single: “Close To You is about a young man hitting the wall, realising that the life he’s living is not the one he wants. As much as he wants to break out, get away from everything, he goes back to the one he loves.”

Following the release of their fresh and thought provoking album,…

Spooky - Little Bullet

Spooky – Little Bullet

Spooky return to Renaissance with a brand new, updated version of their famed classic…

First released in 1993 on William Orbits legendary Guerrilla imprint, ‘Little Bullet’ is arguably one of the defining tracks of its generation; it’s influence and status has grown year on year as it continues to remain a fond favourite of DJs and clubbers alike. And it’s this enduring appeal that influenced Charlie May and Duncan Forbes to revisit the tune, albeit with initial trepidation as Charlie honestly admits, “We weren’t sure whether to re-work Bullet. Some things are best left alone.”

“However,” says Duncan picking up…

Sharam Jey feat. Andreas Hogby - Hearts Of Stone Volume 2

Sharam Jey feat. Andreas Hogby – Hearts Of Stone Volume 2

Including Remixes by Malente & Jay Robinson, Dirty Disco Youth, RipTide, Mom & Dad, The Phantom’s Revenge, Tom Piper and Acidkids. Hearts Of Stone is the third single from Sharam Jey’s critically acclaimed second full-length artist album In My Blood.

On vocals we have Andreas Hogby of Swede rockers Torpedo from Stockholm.

Andreas is giving the track an edgy twist with his dark, deep vocals. So you’ll get pushed around by this straight forward electroclash/indierock bastard.

Hearts Of Stone is accompanied by an impressive remix package with contributions from all over the world:

Malente who has well-received releases out on…

Dany P-Jazz, Fedde Le Grand & Funkerman Present New Life

In between launching a highly successful and award nominated iPhone app, smashing it on international dance floors with tracks like Praise You and the monumental Future Funk remix of Back & Forth (Fedde le Grand) and releasing debut artist album House For All (Funkerman), the Dutch dons of house music have actually found enough spare time to get back together with Dany P-Jazz and recruit a host of studio talent to give their 2009 track New Life a stunning reworking for summer 2010.

New Life was the track that defined the massive Flamingo Nights parties in Ibiza last year, shaking…

Omid 16B – Lilly & Poppy EP

Omid 16B – Lilly & Poppy EP

A brand new decade brings a brand new track from SexOnWax. Recently debuted on the much applauded SOS Ministry of Sound compilation ‘MOS presents SOS’ (released Feb 15, 2010), Omid’s new track ‘Lilly and Poppy’ is, typically, the kind of track that will never tire. For sure, the kind of track that will never grow old, or ugly. The kind of track that will never feel out of place, whether it’s heard at home, in a club, or even if it was re-imagined within a movie. In fact, in trademark 16B style, it’s teeming with cinematic qualities. Elevating. Heart-fluttering. A…

Michael J Parker - Identity (LANGE026)

Michael J Parker – Identity (LANGE026)

Lange 026 comes from Michael J Parker, fresh from his last hit on Flashover Recordings last July ‘Monostep’ where he teamed up with Dominik De Leon (half of DuMonde) to produce a track supported by Ferry Corsten, Lange, Cosmic Gate, Bart Claessen, TyDi, Heatbeat, Ernesto vs Bastian, Cliff Coenraad and Mark Sherry to name but a few!

Michael continues in the same vain here with Identity. Right from the word go the action begins with a rather large driving bassline at the heart of the track. This is quickly accompanied by sweeping synths before dropping into the breakdown where Michael…
