A stalwart of the Global Underground DJ contingent, Nick Warren returns to the series following the huge success of his ‘Paris’ CD in 2007. He’s sold over 110,000 GU compilations in the UK alone over his 11 year history with the label, on each occasion coupling musical integrity and guaranteed commercial sales success.

Peruvian capital Lima is the base for his latest instalment, and for the first time Warren has compiled an entirely exclusive track list to capture the sound and ambience of this historic former Incan city. Fierce Angel Presents Es Vive Ibiza 2008

Mark Doyle and the Es Vive team have been working together since 2001. Their relationship has produced 10 amazing compilations including the “The Base Bar” series and the stunning “Es Vive” series. This year Fierce Angel returns to their favourite address in Ibiza for another 3CD mix of the Fiercest Ibiza anthems. Each CD provides a different flavour of the worlds coolest island and the island’s hippest hotel. Compiled and mixed by Mark Doyle the CD has been fine-tuned with the assistance of hotel owner Jason Bull and Fierce Angel Ibiza resident Ben Santiago.

Steve Lawler’s Viva: Toronto embraces a sentiment that John Digweed once expressed about minimal electronic music – That is, that good minimal techno contains as much relative importance in the audible sound as it does in the absence of sound. Despite the wise sentiment, it was hard for me to be bought immediately by Lawler’s minimal prominence. Viva: London was a decent enough disc, but hardly a frontrunner in its category. Viva: Toronto is altogether a similar concept, mastering the devilish attitude that accompanies darkened rooms, seedy nightclubs and unfamiliar faces. However similar the genre is to its predecessor, Toronto is altogether better than London (we’re talking about the discs, here!).
