What was your overall approach to constructing a Toolroom Mix?
I wanted to make something that really reflected my sound as a DJ, but was also not just about banging out club tunes. I think I managed to strike a nice balance between those two poles. There is a nice selection of music in the mix.

Italian born Antonio Colantuoni is a rising dj starlet on London’s underground circuit. Back in his home town of Rome, alongside being a sound technician for a large production studio, he helped to organise huge raves and was also a sought after dj. Recent experiences on the international club circuit have seen him playing at music festivals in Portugal (Minimise to Maximise festival & Electronix Festival both 2007), while steadily building his career as a producer / dj in London.

You are a bit of a superstar in your native France, for those who aren’t so familiar with your work in the rest of the world, describe your sound?

The Swedish House Mafia Arena was going off last year at Creamfields! How was the festival for you?
It was amazing, it was a really good experience, and I think that it is a dream come true for any DJ collective or band to be able to host their own arena, and we were privileged, so we felt that we had to step it up a bit and give Cream something back, give them something that they could really talk about and really enjoy. So we gave it our all and had a blast and this year we’ll step it up…

Soon you will be back in Ibiza as Resident at Cream @ Amnesia, any new surprises for this summer?
Well, I have my big ‘Best Of’ package, which has just been released with a lot of remixes of some of the classics that will be played. Ibiza is always full of surprises and is always very energetic and very banging and I’m looking forward to it.

You’re performing for Cream @ Amnesia in the main room, which is the most famous dancefloor on the island, why do you think this is? Eg. Is it a combination of music / layout / décor…
