With the ongoing expansion of both Propaganda and the Academy Music Group these two market leaders have joined forces to roll out the ever successful Propaganda club night across the UK. From this autumn Propaganda launches in the Sheffield and Bournemouth o2 Academies. Propaganda also moves it’s massively successful night in Birmingham from Gatecrasher to the brand new o2 Academy.

Propaganda reinforces its position as the the UK’s Biggest Indie Night with the launch of 5 new cities to take their total to 9 weekly nights and a monthly residency in London. With regular DJ sets from the biggest names in music including Lily Allen, Kaiser Chiefs, Radio 1′s Zane Lowe, Bloc Party, The Pigeon Detectives, Pendulum, The Wombats and many more!

With a massive line-up of guest DJs booked to coincide with the above launch dates and the Fresher’s weeks in Propaganda’s existing cities the months ahead look set to be a busy and exciting time for Propaganda.

Look out for guest appearances from Edith Bowman, Zane Lowe, Kelly Osborne and Mat Horne to name but a few. With regular DJ sets from resident and Propaganda creator DJ Dan (fresh from touring with Oasis!) and the Digital Disco supplied by Dan Neon.

Propaganda is well known for its legendary audio-visual extravaganza, incorporating the music videos into every DJs set which is combined with cutting edge decor and special effects throughout the night. Propaganda’s partnership with the o2 Academies will allow them to develop the production of the night to its full potential, within some of the best venues in the country.

Over the last 12 months Propaganda has garnered widespread industry acknowledgement with trade press Night mag, selecting Propaganda creator Dan as one of the 25 figures to watch in 2009.

The biggest party in Leeds returns to Manchester to host the ever-expanding clubbing space of Sankeys, the city’s biggest, most credible underground party venue. With a line-up featuring two of the world’s finest music production talents, Josh Gabriel (of Gabriel and Dresden fame) and Bart B More, this is the only Halloween party you need to be seen raving at this October! With the highly exhilerating Minx FX team performing alongside Bart, Josh and the Filth residents team, get yourself hyped up for a fully synchronised stage show, complete with fiery female dancers and stilt walking freaks to take a standard night out to the next dimension.

Nothching up support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howells and Carl Cox since his explosion on to the dance music scene in 2001, 17 No.1 US Billboard hits, releases with the likes of Toolroom and Global Underground, and 3 consecutive International Dance Music Awards later, Josh Gabriel now returns to to the UK for an exclusive Manchester show with Filth, to showcase the exciting new main room sounds of his recent Toolroom Knights mix compilation. With Netherlands-based man of the moment Bart B More also dropping by to fire up the crowd with his energetic bass-heavy sound of his own record label, Secure Recordings, you can truly anticipate the finest in wonky, fidgety house complimenting Josh’s huge big room synth-lead sound, keeping you dancing all night long!

After a hugely successful Filth Ibiza season, smashing the sonic barriers of venues like Space, Privilege and The Zoo Project, the resident DJ team have returned to their native Northern England to deliver a series of sell out events, bringing those never ending white island vibes back home. Danny Savage, Eddi Zanetti and Dale Castell join the party in the main room, delivering techy warm-up and last set sounds whilst the residents from Stable Disko (Burnley) join the Warped DJs and Leeds favourite, David Hulme to host the bar. With recent Filth guests including Kurd Maverick, Micky Slim, Tom Stephan, The Loose Cannons, Mowgli and Lee Mortimer bringing the heat over the last few months, hold tight for a roadblock party of epic proportions, for the first in a series of Manchester rave-a-thons with everyone’s favourite clubbing connoisseurs, Filth!

While the last of the summer parties slowly fade away, Manchester’s AREA51 shows no sign of letting up. One of the city’s favourite destinations for discerning clubbers, AREA 51 mixes it up with line-ups of international big-hitters, original innovators and hot future prospects – united in a quest for to the bring most mind-blowing house music to the Manchester massive.

Since its launch in February, AREA51 has achieved its aim of pulling in a friendly crowd of up-for-it punters to get down all night (and morning) to the sounds of the cream of electro, techno and house – it’s often still rammed at 9am!

Add to the mix an earth-shaking Funktion One system and you’ve a recipe for one of the dirtiest knees-ups in the North West since the Hac was in full swing!

6th September – Sharam Jey (King Kong, Underwater Records) & Residents
Germany-born Sharam is the first global name AREA51 welcomes through its doors in September. The King Kong records boss peddles a grubby blend of electro, techno house and whatever else he fancies, and his new album, ‘4 Da Loverz’ is due out on the 19th September on Darren Emerson’s Underwater label. Jey will be ably supported by the AREA 51 residents.

20th September – Hook n Sling
With recent Hook N Sling tracks like ‘The Best Thing’ doing the damage the world over, his slamming remixes for labels like Cr2 and artists like Stanton Warriors, this is hyped as one of THE dates of his UK tour.

Rumours have been filtering through the nocturnal clubscape of Manchester for some weeks now that something nuclear is about to detonate on Radium Street. We are in a position to confirm those rumours, by detailing that a new club will indeed open its doors on the first weekend of September 2008. That club is Spektrum.

The team behind Sankeys know how to put on a party. And that’s putting it mildly. The club was recently voted 17th best on the planet in DJ magazine, and what made that special was the fact it was voted for by DJs and music industry professionals. The esteemed Canada-based website The Fresh Page went one better by putting Sankeys firmly in the top 10, as its impact resonates across the pond and across the planet. People are therefore understandably excited by this next project, from the people who bought you Sankeys. “We all get older,” says Sankeys main honcho David Vincent, “and I’ve designed the club that I would want to go to.”

Taking things back to their core, the Sankeys team spent some time travelling the world to see what makes a good club tick. On their travels, the team drew strong influences from two creative and electric cities – Berlin and New York – and returned with a vision to create something truly visionary in Manchester, with a policy of promoting underground electronic music, giving a stage to young producers and DJs, nurturing the next generation of music talent in this country, as though in a disco incubator.

A completely new club space, the key note of Spektrum will focus on intimacy and connectivity, with a deliberately cosy capacity of 350 and a concentration more on production, sound (a half Funktion 1, half Phazon beast) and creating a space with high impact, as soon as you walk through the doors. A new take on top-end drinks… on comfort (with bookable booths)… on a brand new LED lighting system that will actually run across the ceiling in tempo with the music… everything has been carefully considered to create a grown-up, futuristic clubbing experience.

The team have been very proactive in their hunt for the ultimate clubbing experience, with the aim to do nothing less than take clubbing in Manchester to the next level. With a lighting and sound system set to be the envy of many clubs across Europe, Spektrum really will bring Berlin to the streets of Ancoats…

5th September – Spektrum Opening Party 1 – Theo Parrish and Cut Loose DJs
6th September – Spektrum Opening Party 2 – Matthias Tanzmann, Greg Vickers & Ellesse
12th September – Micron kicks off its new residency at Spektrum with Ben Klock from Berlin and support from the Micron DJ team
13th September – Kaluki – Joris Voorn, Ellesse, Arnaldo, Tom Thorpe
19th September - Shift, with Demi and residents Snoopy, Myco, Terry Pointon and Bodidily
20th September РBack To Front РGuillaume & the Coutu Dumonts (Musique Risqu̩e, Circus Company), Dave Sandford, Tom Craven, Adam Shelton
On this weekend Spektrum will join with Sankeys as part of Sankeys’ 2nd Birthday Celebrations – one ticket will get you into both clubs! Details for Spektrum:
Part 1 – September 26th – Jackin the Groove
Part 2 – September 27th – Robert Babicz LIVE, Greg Vickers, Ellesse

AREA51 has fast become one of the glowing lights in the Manchester dance scene. With its banging Funktion one sound system, its world class line ups and up for it party atmosphere that cant be rivalled anywhere in the city.

July’s Saturday Sessions saw AREA51 packed to the rafters with capacity crowds each week, thanks to the likes of Jo Mills, Daley Padley, Henrik B and a monstrous residents party.
Keeping the party flowing the AREA51 crew have put together yet another stonking line-up for August full of new talent, tasty, banging beats and the inaugural good times that have become part of the furniture for this relatively new club on the scene…

The Top 3 Pick

Justin Robertson – 9th August
A Native of Manchester Justin Robertson’s career in dance music dates all the way back to the Madchester days when he was spinning at clubs like Spice and Most Excellent, often frequented by two lads called Tom and Ed who would later become The Chemical Brothers.
As a DJ, Justin wears several hats besides the naff one on his head. Regulars to London nights Bugged Out and Together will be familiar with his mixture of ravey acid techno and electronic house while those who frequent Gay Mod and Sunday Best will know him for his eclectic sets of reggae, northern soul and pop.

In the studio, Robertson has reworked Bjork, Felix Da Housecat, Chicken Lips and Kiki & Silversurfer. He also released an album of primitive house and new wave disco ‘Justin Robertson presents Revtone’ on Nuphonic in 2001. Robertson also penned ‘Push and Shove’ the gospel-tinged song on Fatboy Slim’s fourth album ‘Palookaville’.

The club has been chosen as the host venue for a DJ set by legendary producer Moby.

This party will celebrate the release of Moby’s latest album, Last Night, the latest album from the New York-based producer who has brought us so much good music – from tracks like Go (and the seven others that hit the top 40), through the varied atmosphere of the album Play, the soundtrack to so many ads and perhaps the soundtrack to the lives of urbane night kids through the 90s and noughties,

Moby has toured the UK before, alongside artists such as The Prodigy, but this will be his first DJ set in Manchester in a decade – ten long years without the producer who is as well known in clubland as he is in the pop world.

So, the internationally acclaimed DJ has chosen Sankeys for the Manchester leg of his ‘last night’ tour. And Sankeys. already famed for attracting the very best of international DJs, is delighted to host this exclusive set. I-DJ remarked this month: “Sankeys is a clubbing institution that never fails to exceed expectations”.

This will be another chance to do just that…

The Saturday night formula revels in its ability to front some of the newest and most exciting music within the scene, and this month we bring you the hottest talent from Sweden and the UK

Designed to showcase the more underground and energetic elements of the underground dance sound plus a whole lot more, AREA51 has a specific mandate to live up to. Gritty electro, visceral jacking underground house and effusive techno is the name of the game, and the Saturday night party showcases this sound alongside four of the finest up and coming exponents of it.

Joining Saturday Sessions on 5th July is AREA51 resident Jo Mills who has been at the forefront of finding new talent. With her current residency at Pete Tong’s Wonderland in Ibiza we expect her to bring a summer vibe to the proceedings. July 12th AREA51 showcases the hottest talent on the Manchester dance scene at the moment with Jon Cotton, Danny Whitehead and the very talent Tempered DJ’s. Straight from the North of England and one of the hottest new DJ’s on our shores at the moment, Daley Padley, returns on 19th July providing the straight up banging electro and tech house that has seen his tracks make it in to the boxes of Eric Morillo, Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez. Topping things off is one of the most forward thinking and talent producers and DJ’s on the scene at the moment, Henrik B. Already part of the monster that is the Swedish House Mafia, Henrik has performed all over the world and we welcome him to AREA51 with bated breath.

Saturday Sessions have taken on a world of their own and have been exactly what Manchester has been missing with the club rammed to rafters till 8/9am every Sunday morning.. Add to this a banging Funktion one sound system and you have a jaw dropping head fuck of a party…
