Satoshi Tomiie returns to The Masters Series

Satoshi hooks-up with Renaissance once again, marking their trilogy with another landmark mix, further confirming why he is considered a true master of house.

The Japanese-by-way-of-New-York Don takes us on a sublime, deep tech-house excursion that draws on some of the brightest luminaries at work in the scene today, from Radio Slave to Layo & Bushwacka!, Jimpster, Motorcitysoul, Marc Romboy, Mlle Caro & Franck Garcia, Jeff Bennett and many more besides… The result is a forward thinking musical blueprint, as Satoshi himself elaborates, “My definition of house remains the same – ‘an open minded, evolving form of dance music’”.…

Danny Howells Interview

Danny Howells Interview

What was your overall approach to constructing a Renaissance mix?
With this mix, I had no clue as to what direction to take musically. It was a case of literally going through all of my music and pulling out all my favourite tunes, regardless of genre, from the last two or three years mainly. I don’t really worry too much about being super-upfront on a CD, because it’s something that will hopefully stay in people’s collections for a while, so I think timelessness is more important that being upfront. Now the series returns, taking influence from its famed predecessor, whilst adding a surprising new element.

So, who better than Danny Howells to construct the mix? A DJ renowned for his unrivalled ability to tap into the…

Danny Tenaglia - Futurism

Danny Tenaglia – Futurism

He’s Back! Danny Tenaglia returns with his first compilation in 6 years, reinforced by a brand new single and his first ever Ibiza residence at Space…

After a six-year hiatus from releasing compilations, Danny Tenaglia returns with the 2xCD compilation, ‘Futurism’.

Long before the Ableton revolution Tenaglia was renowned for his unique sets where samples from various records were frequently interwoven throughout, layered atop his trademark sound, a twisted (often marathon) voyage across the many genres of house and techno. “If you think of the word ‘techno’”, Danny humbly elaborates, “It’s just short for technology. What were Kraftwerk doing? What…
